Norton AntiVirus is a software package from Symantec that provides automated virus protection. Noreton AntiVirus provides the security of automatic protection against viruses, malicious ActiveX controls and Java applets, and other dangerous code.

The Not So Good

There are a few areas where Norton AntiVirus falls a little short. Whilst Norton AntiVirus is reasonably well priced compared to similar offers from it's competitors for a single year licence, it provides only a minimal discount on multi-year renewals. Neither the Windows Control Panel nor the Norton AntiVirus unintaller completely remove the software from your system. In response to this, Symantec now provides a tool, the Norton Removal Tool, that will completely remove all traces of the Norton products from your PC.
